Women Empowerment Cell
At Harsha Institutions, equality isn’t just a principle—it’s a way of life. We believe that true progress begins when every individual, regardless of gender, is given the opportunity to thrive. That’s why we have deeply embedded the values of equality, inclusivity, and respect into our academic and cultural fabric. These ideals are not only taught in the classroom but are also actively practiced and celebrated by students, faculty, and leadership alike.
To reinforce this commitment, Harsha Institutions established the Women Empowerment Cell—a dedicated platform that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for all women on campus. The cell serves as a safe space where gender-based issues can be openly addressed, awareness can be raised, and meaningful dialogue can take place. It plays a crucial role in providing support, mentoring, and opportunities for women students, faculty, and staff, empowering them to grow both personally and professionally.
The Women Empowerment Cell is also responsible for organizing workshops, leadership programs, legal awareness sessions, health and wellness drives, and other initiatives that enhance the visibility and voice of women across the institution.
In recognition of the outstanding leadership of Mrs. Girija Shivakumar, the cell was proudly named the “Srimathi Girija Shivakumar Centre for Women Empowerment.” This center was officially inaugurated on 8th March 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day—a symbolic date that aligns with the values of strength, unity, and progress that the institution strives to instill.
Through this cell, Harsha Institutions continues to foster a culture where women feel seen, heard, and empowered—encouraging them to break barriers, lead with confidence, and become agents of change in society.
