Minimum Eligibility for Admission

Program Outline

The program is a 2-year course with a curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, including Physiotherapy, biomechanics, community rehabilitation, electrophysiology, paediatrics, and research methodology.

The program also includes supervised clinical experience in specialized settings, such as sports clinics, rehabilitation centers, and research institutions. Graduates of the program are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work in advanced roles within the physiotherapy field, such as clinical specialists, research coordinators, and educators.

What is the duration of the MPT program?

The Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) program is a 2-year postgraduate course that includes both theoretical studies and practical clinical training.

To be eligible for the MPT program, a candidate must have completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution and completed the mandatory internship as per university norms.

MPT graduates can pursue careers as Clinical Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Specialists, Sports Injury Consultants, Research Coordinators, , Private practitioners or consultants

The MPT program qualifies graduates for roles in academia, allowing them to become lecturers, clinical instructors, or educators in physiotherapy colleges or training institutions.

The institute holds an IAP Certificate of Membership, and eligible BPT and MPT graduates from the institute can apply for membership in IAP as per its prevailing norms.
